I hate constraints and bullshit rules - and just because some @WWE producer says, "clear" (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn't mean I just stop whatever l'm doing and tell everyone great job. It fucking pissed me off. I can't shut my high emotions off just because a script says we're done. But even in this crazy fucking world of pro wrestling - this is a microcosm of a larger issue I have with individuals, corporations & governments - telling us what we can or can't do. You have to do it this way, you have to say it that way, or you'll get cancelled. They create fear if you have a different perspective and don't live by their rules. It's their way, or no way. Esperanza and Edwin will always have their beautiful little angel, Lily Rose in their hearts forever. I don't know why unspeakable heartbreak like this happens and as a father it makes me sad. But also makes me remember that we only get one shot at life - and we gotta be there for each other when we're down, lift each other up, and help each other see the light. Just delivering flowers to heaven to my old man, Rocky "Soulman" Johnson. My dad, along with "Mr USA", Tony Atlas made pro wrestling history by becoming the first ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions for the @WWE. He came up the hard way, and trail-blazed for all of us men of color - in any sport & level of entertainment. But it was also very important to him to pave the way for all men, any color - it didn't matter. My regret in this life is that I never had a chance to say goodbye to him, because he died suddenly. I regret not reconciling our complicated father/son shit before I lost him. Raised me with tough fatherly love and an even tougher hand. The more I live life, the more grateful I am for it. Sometimes I just miss my dad. Wish I could give him my truck or give him a little cash. (my old man was an OG so he was all about that cash;) When I met @Isaiah Garza’s dad, Ricardo - he immediately reminded me of my old man. Hard worker, struggled with hard times, but always did what he could to take care of his family. My dad even opened up a cleaning service, just like Isaiah’s dad. And just like my dad back then, the one thing, Ricardo needed was a truck for all his supplies and to get to and from work. I gave Ricardo my personal truck. I gave Ricardo some cash. I think in a way, this moment with Ricardo, felt like my dad was still here with me and I could make him happy. Got me emo. When I cry, I start to whisper. Love you both, Isaiah & Ricardo. I love the father-son bond you have. Take care of each other. Hold on to that hope. I miss my old man.
